“I am a new gardener. I’d say that historically, I have had two black thumbs and really have never been able to keep plants alive for very long. After a recent hurricane, Christina was helping me brainstorm what to do with this cozy area of my backyard. It was covered with overgrown, massive leafy plants and really needed some attention. Christina’s idea was to remove the old plants and make a pollinator garden… so that’s what I did and I LOVE IT! I never would have thought to do this myself and definitely not in that location but I’m so glad I listened. It was the much needed spark that started my research into native plants, the benefits of pollinators and how I can sustain gardening with three young kids, a dog and a husband. She gave me a chart with plant information to help me organize and before I knew it, I was not only maintaining the pollinator garden, but I recently planted seedlings for vegetable crops too! Christina has an eye for potential. She’s able to see past the brown, dead shrubs and can effectively communicate a vision for something wonderful. I’m SO glad that I asked her for a consult and what has transpired! Next up will be front yard landscaping. I cannot wait to see what she and I can come up with! Thank you, Christina!”
